It’s time to ring in another year. And, what better place to celebrate a new beginning that in Steamboat Springs! Use this calendar to discover all the events in Steamboat in which you can take part.
Torchlight Parade and Fireworks Show
Time: December 31, 2012 from 6pm to 7pm
Place: 2305 Mt. Werner Circle, Steamboat Springs.
Contact for more information: (970) 879-6111
This event is special; where else do you get to see a parade that takes place on the face of a mountain? The Steamboat Ski and Snowboard School will treat views to an on-snow parade: They will ski (or snowboard) down the mountain holding glowing torches. Following the parade, a fireworks display will light up the sky and provide the perfect ending for the new year.
The best place to view the activities are from the Bear River Deck (adjacent to Gondola Square), or from Gondola Square itself. Both of these locations are at the base of Mt. Werner Ski Area. For more information, visit the my.steamboat website.
