Eleven years ago today, tragedy struck our country.
Despite that tragedy, we have proven to be a country that pulls itself up by its bootstraps, works together, and rises from the ashes. We must never forget those innocent folks who died that Tuesday morning in September, and we must never forget those who sacrificed their lives to save them.
Forgetting would be to deny their sacrifice, and would destroy the resolve of those people who lost husbands, wives, fathers, cousins, mothers, aunts, children, nephews, grandparents, nieces, brothers, sisters, uncles, grandchildren and friends. Such tragedy touches the lives of countless people. Wherever you were that day, pause to reflect the sorrow that fell on our nation eleven years ago today, and pay tribute to those that lost their lives.
Here at F.M. Light and Sons, we remember.
The video below features photographs from a customer and friend of ours who was kind enough to share them. Especially poignant is the before and after pictures of the World Trade Center at 6:16 in the video.
“Out of suffering comes the serious mind; out of salvation, the grateful heart; out of endurance, fortitude; out of deliverance faith.” – John Ruskin
