Winston Churchill knew what he was talking about when he said: “No hour of life is wasted that is spent in the saddle.”

Don’t you agree? Tell us your experiences with horses in the comments below; we’d love to hear!

I have spent time with horses since I was 4 years old and have only been enriched and encouraged to become a better human being by each experioence.

That’s awesome! There really is something about horses that brings out the best in people. Thank you so much for commenting! We love to hear feedback. 🙂

I love this quote. My most favorite memories were of when a friend of the family took me and my sister riding in the hills of Yakima, Washington. From the top you could see for miles. He taught us to ride that day. I always loved horses anyway, so for this city girl I couldn’t agree with Winston Churchill more.

Thanks for sharing your memories with us, Lori! It seems that one of the reasons that time spent on a horse is never wasted is because it is most often time that is also spent outside. With a horse really is the best way to enjoy nature.
