Yes. That is a letter from President Lyndon B. Johnson. And yes, he is thanking the Lucchese family for wishing him well. He assures them that when he is able to “get back in the saddle,” he’ll be “in a pair of Lucchese boots.” LBJ knew the importance of the right footwear – and he chose one of the best brands in the industry.
