A Yellow Sign from F.M. Light and Sons | Western Wear in Steamboat Springs, Colorado

Have you seen our yellow and black signs?

There are over 100 of them throughout the Colorado landscape on the way to Steamboat Springs, and they advertise anything from Levis, cowboy boots and hats, and any kind of western wear you can imagine (click here for more history of the signs).

Our favorite thing is when visitors share their photos with us. It’s so great to see that other people appreciate the history and story behind each one. A Facebook fan named Jeff sent us this picture:

Isn’t it beautiful? We absolutely love the yellow sign against the black and white. This photo was taken near Wolford Resevoir just north of Kremmling, Colorado. Many of you have probably seen it. But, this photo captures the stunning beauty of our state and the historic sign! Thank you so much for sharing your fantastic photography, Jeff. We appreciate it very much!
