We love history here at F.M. Light. Maybe because we’re 107 years old ourselves! So, here’s a bit about one of our favorite companies:

Old Gringo pushes the envelope with artisan handcrafted cowboy boots and western wear that both captures the traditional “Old School” quintessential vintage charm and detail while offering contemporary cutting edge styles not surpassed by ordinary boot makers. Old Gringo has a saying:

“Life is better wearing Old Gringo.”

This statement is very true, as they have been called “the Hollywood of cowboy boots.” If you wear Old Gringo, you will be noticed. Their collection continues to increase with a plethora of new styles offered each market. While Old Gringo’s Strong customer base consists of women and men who represent both the fashion loving and the professional, its style approach attracts inclinations ranging from Traditional Western, Vintage, Contemporary fashion, Rock Star, Equestrian, and European Vogue in interpretations irresistible to each genre. Their signature is style accompanied by comfort and value within the foundation of superior handmade footwear. The two owners (one from France, the other from Spain), bring a European style to the design. The boots can fit anyone, from a teenage girl to Trisha Yearwood (who wears the Eagle Cyrstal boots, which are studded with Swarovski Crystals).

Old Gringo opened its first factory in the fall of 2000, and the first collection of original, vintage and retro styles was available within six months. The boots were well received in the market by traditional western outlets, as well as fashion boutiques, catalogs and shoe stores.

There are 130 steps that are taken by a skilled artisan in handcrafting each boot, so each pair is a unique work of art.
